Final preparations

12 hour scramble!

We're leaving in a few hours for our epic journey across the globe. Not much to tell yet, but it looks like everything is falling into place! Getting cash, last minute gifts, cleaning up the apartment for our houseguest...

I have no idea how easy it will be to access the internet where we are in Africa, though I'm sure that we'll be able to send at least a few updates. Photos too hopefully!

Thanks go out to everyone for their support and encouragement to actually make this trip happen! We certainly wouldn't be going if it weren't for the prodding and assistance from our friends and family.

Go Nate and Barb... Be sure to bring me some Ugali and Nyama Choma when you get back. Also have some yourselves... enjoy your tour :)

Ah, we have yet to try the Nyama Choma...but I have just been nibbling on a bit of Kongoni meat that was very tasty.

Yikes, these Kenyans can drink...am trying to keep pace...for better or for worse!

Make me proud Nate...you better keep pace. Speaking of keeping pace, have you raced Tergat yet? Talk some trash to him, he's getting old. You still have youth on your side.

Yah, Tergat is on the way out. He's old news...passing the torch to the new generation. I saw a race here on the weekend, x-c race in a field we drove by. I almost jumped out of the car! We couldn't stop though...too bad. Pretty cool to know it was there though!
